Appeal over body found in river

Lincolnshire Police has launched an appeal to help find a man following a tragic death in Spalding last month.

It follows the body of a man being found of a man found in the river near Clay Lake around 4.30pm on July 8.

The force has previously called the death “non-suspicious”. 

It is now looking to speak to a man with distinctive hair, reported to be called Mark and nicknamed hedgehog.

An appeal by Lincolnshire Police states: “We are appealing for a specific witness to come forward and help officers investigating the tragic death of a man on July 8, at Clay Lake, Spalding.

“Officers are looking for a man, reportedly of Eastern European background, called Mark and with the nickname “hedgehog”. Mark is reported to have spikes shaved into the side of his head, and we are asking him to come forward and help officers with their investigation. 

“Mark is also reported to work as a pizza takeaway delivery driver.

“Officers are urging anyone who knows this man, or that Mark himself,  contact officers and help them piece together this investigation.
