Ration books, uniforms and classic cars all helped transport visitors back to the 1940s when the war years were revisited in Spalding at the weekend.
Around 8,000 people took part in the special weekend which was organised by South Holland District Council.
The two-day event concluded with a VJ Day remembrance parade which marked the day fighting in the far east stopped and the Second World War ended.
A flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flights on both days were cancelled due to weather conditions.
But despite the showery weather, thousands still turned-out for the fifth year the event has been running.
Among the guests was deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire William Webb who joined the peace parade.
And a speech from Winston Churchill himself was given by Brandyn Shaw.
“The weekend never fails to deliver and this was no exception. The weather may have impacted on the anticipated flypasts, but did nothing to discourage the thousands of families and people who came down to embrace the Blitz spirit and carry on,” said Coun Gary Taylor.
Activities, displays, music, re-enactors vintage hairdressing and memorabilia were all part of the event along with period vehicles and members of Boston Jive.
