Medals aplenty as Spalding Gymnastic Club’s girls impress again

Spalding Gymnastics Club had much to celebrate as they contested the county Level 4/3/2 competition in Lincoln.

In the Level 4 competition at Witham Hill Gymnastics Club, Spalding’s Amelia Fox did superbly well to win the overall county crown with the highest score.

Competing with her for their first level 4 competition were Katie Simpson, Georgina Harrison, Daisy Cross and Aimee Speechley.

At Level 3 (11/12 age group) Darcy Orford was Spalding’s best placed competitor in fourth (vault).

Also competing was Maisie Foden, who finished fifth overall in this group.

At Level 2 in the 13 and over group, Ruby Vertuccio won the gold medal on floor, bronze on beam, silver on bars and silver on vault.

Those amazing exploits secured her the silver medal overall.

Emma Goodliffe also impressed as she grabbed gold on vault, while Rebecca Fones sealed silver on beam.

More medals followed as Alice Baxter got silver on vault and bronze on floor and bars to secure third place overall.

Spalding are proud of all that competed.
