Spalding United’s unbeatable Blue boys bag brilliant Bourne success

Spalding United under-12 Blue are celebrating after an impressive tournament success over the weekend.

The Blue boys were crowned champions at the annual Bourne Tournament on Sunday after a dominant display.

They played four games in the group stages – winning every game – and then progressed to the final with a 2-0 semi-final success.

That set-up a final with Stamford Red, which Spalding won 1-0 to clinch the trophy.

Overall, Blue scored 17 goals and conceded just the one. They were the only under-12 team to win all of their games.

Over the last four years the team have won the Deeping Tournament (as under-9s), the Wisbech St Mary Tournament (under-9s) and the Holbeach Tournament (under-11s).
