Elite Sport Academy are among the entries that have been coming in for The Pride of South Holland Awards,
Their nominator said: “I believe the team deserves this award for the tireless efforts they put in to offering opportunities to our local community and beyond
“Over 2,000 children a week take part in events across the sporting spectrum including archery, boxercise, fencing, curling, basketball, football, gymnastics, tag rugby and much more.
“The team is not only delivering but also inspiring. Often they find themselves at the beginning of a child’s sporting journey and the team helps these children enjoy and find their love of sport whatever that will be. The team works alongside local schools and out in the community, with extra evening sessions put on to cater for this area.
“The past year this has included dance studios, extra football sessions, adult boxercise fitness classes, huge sports camps during school holidays, birthday parties, school fayres and fetes.
“Elite Sports Academy has supported local charities and donated to locally run charity balls, as well as sponsoring a local football club’s team kit.
“Elite is also the only designated learning destination for sport for the Children’s University in South Holland.
“I have nominated them as I think it will go a small way in showing the team the recognition they deserve for their work, week in week out, beyond my praise.”
