Letters – Traffic is on the rise and it’s no fun for anyone

Could the councils please encourage more people to walk their little darlings to school, not do road works when the kids are at school and look to divert freight trains.

My home town is not a great place to live anymore due to the sheer weight of traffic.

The other day it took me 27 minutes to drive from Hawthorn Bank to Enterprise Park.

It’s due to the sheer weight of traffic.

Winsover Road is obviously stop start with the roadworks that were supposed to happen July last year.

Pennygate was gridlocked from Park Avenue as everybody was trying get in to Tollgate from both sides to take their children to school.

To get past, traffic coming from the Park Road end was having to mount the pavement while there were parents walking along with their children.

It affects us all including our town and shops which are in slow decline.
