Man’s body pulled from River Welland in Spalding

The body of a man has been found in the River Welland in Spalding.

Police were called at 10.45am this morning (Wednesday, 29 November) to London Road, close to the junction with Cowbit Road.

The body, which has yet to be formally identified, has been recovered.

A statement released by Lincolnshire Police this afternoon said: “The body of a man has been recovered from the river in the London Road area of Spalding.

“We were called to the location at approx 10.45am on Wednesday 29th November.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and an investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.”

Anyone who believes they may have information to assist the enquiry is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 131 of 29/11.
