Cold Feet star John Thomson added a bit of sparkle to Springfields when he switched on this year’s Christmas lights.
The event was hosted by Heart FM’s breakfast show favourites Kev and Ros with live performances from Classical Reflections, as seen on BBC1’s TV programme The Voice and Spalding’s St Paul’s Community Primary School Choir.
John Thomson switched on the lights at 7.30pm and due to his popularity signed autographs in the mall for over an hour.
A spokesman said: “The evening was a huge success with nearly 4,000 visitors enjoying free family festive entertainment.”
The day also saw the official launch of Raging Bull with the founder and England Rugby star Phil Vickery (MBE) cutting the ribbon and meeting and greeting hundreds of fans and the opening of the new Betty Barclay Outlet, the largest in the UK.
This week Springfields holds its popular firework display that will be set to hit songs from musicals of stage and screen.
