Moulton Harrox extended their unbeaten start in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division to ten games on Saturday – but were given a scare by the basement boys.
Harrox saw off rock-bottom Langtoft United 3-2 thanks to goals from Jake Cawthorne, Josh McGuire and Dan Woods, but never got close to finding top gear.
Nigel Steadman’s side are four points clear at the top ahead of Saturday’s trip to eighth-placed Leverington Sports (2pm).

- Jonny Allen struck the only goal as Holbeach United Reserves beat Stanground Sports 1-0 in the PFA Senior Cup.
Long Sutton Athletic are also in the hat for the next round after winning 3-1 at Crowland Town.
Liam O’Connor (2) and Tommy Treacher got the goals for the Magpies.
In the Premier Division, goals from Sam Cooper and Matt Eaton couldn’t stop Sutton Bridge United losing 4-2 at home to Stamford Lions.
Aaron Rouse was also sent off for Bridge at Memorial Park.
In Division One, Danny Lambe-Hyner took his tally for the season to 14 with a double in Moulton Harrox Reserves’ 5-2 win at Wittering Harriers.
Declan Earth, Martin Sandall and James Thorold got the other goals.
In Division Two, Spalding Town drew 2-2 with Bretton North End thanks to goals from Ricky Dickinson and Matt Rose.
Spalding United Reserves, meanwhile, lost 3-1 at home to FC Peterborough.
In Division Three, Whaplode Drove –previously unbeaten – went down 8-0 at home to Premiair. Holbeach Bank, meanwhile, were 2-1 winners at Riverside as Calvin Bird and Lewis Machin both bagged.
Elsewhere, Long Sutton Reserves were 5-1 winners over Netherton United B in Division Four. The goals came from Steve Robinson (2), Vinny Mackie, Louis Preston and Ryan Thorpe.
Holbeach United A lost 6-0 at home to Stamford Lions in the same division, while Tydd St Mary Reserves lost 2-1 at home to Ramsey Town Reserves.
Paul Richardson was the scorer for the Saints.
Down in Division Five, Craig Weightman (2), Jordan Heeley, Ryan Howard and Dan Liquorish netted as Spalding United A won 5-1 at Hampton.
