LETTER: Not so well said…

When I went to primary school in Lincolnshire I was taught that there are 26 letters – a, b, c etc.

I have heard a rumour that if Priti Patel and Angela Rayner are returned to Parliament on June 8 they are going to introduce a bill to outlaw the letters “t” and “g” from the English alphabet. Is this true.

No, I’m not moaning about accents, and I never moan about dialect words, but I wish that Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn would quietly send them both to elocution lessons. If Ms Patel and Ms Rayner are reckoned to be bright enough to be in government or shadow government why aren’t they bright enough to see the g in “going” and the “t” in quality.

When they are speakin’ I hear no quali’y, and I cease to take any notice of the substance of what they say.
