Moulton Ladies dish out £1,000 in donations

Moulton Ladies have made donations totalling £1,000 to seven good causes.

Representatives from Macmillan Cancer Support, Moulton Mill, St Barnabas, Moulton Community Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn radiology department, The Salvation Army Boston and Holbeach Hospital collected cheques at this month’s meeting.

The group holds various fundraising events throughout the year and then decides at its annual general meeting in January which local charities to support.Often the ones chosen are close to members due to personal experiences.

And last year the group helped an appeal from the radiology department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for hand knitted toys to give children receiving treatment.
Members, along with friends and family, got busy and more than 250 knitted teddies were donated.
