Council has no plans for premises after Holbeach library relocates

Lincolnshire County Council says it has no specific plans for the current library building in Church Street when it becomes vacant in February 2017.

A spokesman said: “We will look at alternative uses by other council services. If it’s not needed by the council, we will explore other options such as selling or leasing the building.”

The library will move to Lincolnshire Co-op’s Fleet Street site as part of a £1.2million community hub creation, also including the Post Office branch and Lincolnshire Co-op’s pharmacy (both currently in High Street.)

Lincolnshire Co-op has confirmed that the current Post Office branch which it leases will be returned to the landlord and the pharmacy store, which it owns, will be leased out following the move.
