Sutton Bridge’s vital new defibrillator will be housed at town’s golf club

Members of South Lincs Environmental Group (SLEG) – in conjunction with a British Heart Foundation grant – have funded a new defibrillator for the parish of Sutton Bridge.

The defibrillator is situated at Sutton Bridge Golf Club (on New Road) and will be available for golf club members and the general public to use.

Chairman of the golf club, Richard Kitchener, thanked The British Heart Foundation representative Roger Williamson and golf club member Richard Morley for their work involved with the installation of the defibrillator, which could save a life.

SLEG raised money in the 1990s when the group ran the very popular Country Fayre. As promised by the group, the money they raised is being spent on good causes.

Over the years the group have donated to such as the Tsunami Appeal, a new lightening conductor for the parish church after the original was stolen and a wheel chair for a young lady in Long Sutton, to name but a few.

The group stay active making comments on important planning applications and fighting any development that would be detrimental to resident’s quality of life.
