Pinchbeck racer Booth eyes Halloween treat in British under-25 Championship

Pinchbeck’s Dan Booth is targeting British under-25 Championship success in his 1300cc Stock Car on Halloween Carnival Night at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena this Saturday (5.30pm).

The meeting also features a massive field of Unlimited Bangers and the three-wheeled Reliant Robins. Off-track, there will be a fireworks display, plus a Halloween fancy dress parade and free fairground rides.

For Booth, who turns 26 next month, the inaugural staging of the British under-25 event is his only chance to claim the title.

He returned to the formula this year after a couple of years away from racing, and has already reclaimed the World of Shale crown he last held in 2012.

Joining Booth in action will be fellow South Holland drivers Ricky Ivatt and Kieran Williams.

Meanwhile, the near 100-strong entry of Unlimited Bangers has attracted drivers from all over the country, including the famous Brighton-based Bears team and the Gladiators from Essex.

Last weekend’s action at the track saw Donington’s Mark Sargent roar to double success in BriSCA Formula One Stock Cars, claiming the opener for white and yellow graded drivers, before adding another win in heat one proper.

Norfolk’s Mat Newson won the meeting final after a sensational night of action where the Two-Litre Saloon Stock Cars were also on terrific form.
