Tulip Talk with Jan Whitbourn

Local talent, both human and canine, promises to be on prominent display at the Spalding People’s Parade this coming weekend.

Tulip Radio is helping to organise some of the entertainment for Sunday’s event, including Diamondz Dance Group, Helen’s Zumba class, local singers Jordan Howlett and Harry Birkett.

Although moved from its spring date to mid-autumn, the Parade hopes to build on the success of previous years and offer fun for all the family.

The day kicks off with a sponsored dog walk at 10am, followed by a novelty dog show at 12.30pm.

So, if you’re the proud owner of South Holland’s Cutest Puppy, Best Sausage Catcher or Dog Most Like It’s Owner, then the Spalding branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind are waiting to receive your entry.

Call Kate on 01775 769551 or email [email protected]

There will also be Polish activities for children of all ages and a tasting tent along with live music and children’s entertainment throughout the day.

Entry is free to the event which takes place at Springfield Events Centre from 10am-4pm.

There are some spaces for a few more charity stalls and the committee is looking for volunteer stewards and helpers.

To get involved, call 07437 936684 or email [email protected] or call Tulip Radio on 01775 712400 if you would like to be part of the entertainment.
