Wings and things on show at annual model exhibition

The Fenland and Spalding Model Club holds its annual Wings and Things Show at the weekend.

The show takes place on Sunday from 10am to 4pm, at University Academy Holbeach. Admission is £2 for adults and £1 for children and OAPs,

Model clubs from around the country will be present as well as special interest groups, including a group who specialise in the United States Air Force.

Also present will be traders, where visitors can buy models themselves, or model making equipment.

Models on display cover everything from military aircraft, military vehicles, civilian vehicles and aircraft, hot rods, science fiction, boats, figures, and everything in between.

Club member Iain Braid said: “We hope to inspire people to take up the hobby, and present an art form not seen by people these days, other than in memories of childhood, building an Airfix Spitfire!”
