Molly makes her mark at talent camp

South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club starlet Mollie Briggs was recently selected to attend a Regional Talent Development Camp with the East Midlands ASA.
These camps are an integral part of the England Talent programme and selection is based on the English swimming rankings.
The first of the two days took place at The University of Nottingham with Briggs being one of only 36 girls aged 11 and 12 years who were invited from across the region.
During the camp, in addition to time in the pool, the 11-year-old took part in gym, land training and an athlete workshop.
She said: “I really enjoyed the day and was delighted to have been selected to attend.
“I am hoping to put into practice what I learned in the upcoming swimming season and I’m looking forward to the next camp in January.”
South Lincs Swimming Club hosted the first round of the Junior Lincs League on Saturday.
This was a team event in which teams in the county compete in a series of rounds throughout the year to be top of the league.
The South Lincs junior team competed very well with some outstanding performances from Aurinija Maliauskaite, Andre Ubaveciute, Ellisha Cookson, Dusty Saines, Emma Croker and Ellie O’Brien who all scored top points for their team.
