Pre-season: Wins for Holbeach United and Pinchbeck United, Long Sutton soundly beaten

Holbeach United kicked off their pre-season fixtures with a 3-1 victory at Bourne Town on Friday night.

The Tigers were 1-0 up at half time at the Abbey Lawn when Jake Clitheroe headed home a cross from new signing Adam Jackson.

Bourne hit back early in the second half, but Stacy Cartwright fired home a superb free kick to put Tom Roberts’ side back ahead.

A fine team goal rounded off the scoring, with Sean Coughlan and Tyler Wright combining well to tee up a tap in for Macauley Grimwood.

Holbeach are back in action at Crowland Town on Tuesday night (7pm).

Tigers: Portas, Coddington, Jackson, Eyett, Tinkler, Cartwright, Smith, Tidswell, Eason, Clitheroe, Treacher. Subs (all used): Wright, Coughlan, Law, Davis, Russon, Grimwood, Walton.
