Speedsters Stafford and Clarke on the hunt for points at Snetterton this weekend

Race aces Ben Stafford and Aaron Clarke are gunning for points finishes at Snetterton this weekend after promising outings last time out.

Saracen’s Head speedster Stafford managed a tenth place finish in the Dickies British Supersport Championship at Knockhill, claiming some morale-boosting points for Silicone Engineering racing in the process.

Kirton racer Clarke is hoping for better weather conditions this weekend so that he can continue his Superstock 600 campaign without the race being red flagged because of heavy rain.

After a race-long battle among a large group of riders, he was poised to move up into a points scoring position at Knockhill when the race was stopped – leaving the Draper Racing ace just a whisker away from his goal.

Clarke was looking good to get up into 11th or 12th position when the rain arrived and halted his charge.

Clarke’s team-mate Tommy Philp (also from Lincolnshire) should be fit to race in the Supersport class, too.
