A host of top prizes were dished out as Spalding Golf Club held their Ladies’ Championship.
Some 32 lady members entered for the morning round at the Surfleet course, playing in strict handicap order. Those with handicaps of 0 to 20 entered for the 36 hole Barbara Watson Salver Club Championship, which is a gross competition.
The winner was Angela Roper with a gross of 90 and 94, while the net prize went to Debra Ward with 80 and 79. The best morning net score was Jackie Bailey Scott’s 80, while the best afternoon net came from Jacquie Clare 82.
Meanwhile, the ladies with handicaps from 21 to 28 played for the Jean Farrow Plate. The winner was Margaret Barkway with an 83, ahead of Sue Matthews (84) in second.
