Members of Spalding U3A had a night at the dogs after sponsoring a race at Peterborough Greyhound Stadium.
It was the group’s second outing to the venue and due to the success of the evening it is sure to become a regular event.
Member, Ian McCallum (on the right) organised the event.
From Thursday, June 5, the group’s monthly meetings will be held at Surfleet Village Hall at 1.30pm. Meetings are always held on the first Thursday of the month.
There are currently more than 240 members of Spalding’s U3A, which is open to people of any age who are no longer in full time employment.
The U3A is a charitable organisation which supports an active retirement, enabling members to share creative and leisure activities.
In Spalding, the U3A has more than 30 interest groups, including history, singing, gardening, French, walking and music.
Everyone is welcome to go along to two free taster sessions before deciding whether to join.
