LETTER: Britons work hard too!

I read the piece in The Voice by Martin Skells about leaving the EU. Good on you, speaking up for our hardworking Brits.

We are not a lazy country, like farmers say we are.
I, too, had family working the land in zero temperatures, getting up at 4am to work the land, which you rightly said was all done by hand, not by machinery which migrants have now.

It is the likes of Mr Tinsley who voted in the Europeans, coming here to take work from our British people. He needs to reap what he sows.
The money they earn here goes back to their country and is not put back into our country.

I do feel for our own children leaving school soon and grandchildren who will have no prospects of work or housing. There will be nothing left for our own kind.

We are at breaking point now of overcrowding, council housing, schools and doctors, which we paid contributions for.
We are having cut backs on policing, hospitals, fire stations when we need these resources more than ever due to the influx.

Roll on the Brexit in June. We managed before without the EU and will do so again and take back control.
Brits who want to better themselves abroad have to have money, a job and documents checked before they can enter other countries and sad to say, there are no handouts for us.
