Spalding’s flower-growing heritage was celebrated with a weekend of events at Springfields Festival Gardens.
Springfields Gardens have been open for 50 years and Tulipfest and Craft Show marked the anniversary in traditional style with a family event including displays of colourful blooms and a mix of entertainment.
Saturday saw Morris dancers, brass band, a falconry display, fancy dress competition, as well as the weekend-long craft show and attractions such as pony rides, food stalls, bouncy castle and train rides.
On Sunday the craft show was joined by a classic car show, which attracted about 260 cars from far and wide and around 2,000 visitors.
Visitors were also able to hunt for a bargain in an auto jumble sale.
There was also a treasure hunt and petting zoo and Monday was given over to sports events.
The event was organised by Springfields Horticultural Society.
The society’s David Norton said: “Overall it was a successful event and it was nice to see so many families enjoying the gardens and the activities on offer.”
