Spalding Town 3rd ace Jordan Butchers Grantham with unbeaten 41

Jordan Butcher cracked an impressive 41 not out to steer Spalding Town 3rd to a ten-wicket win over Grantham 4th in South Lincs and Border League Division Two on Saturday.

Having won the toss, Town chose to bowl first at the Memorial Field – and made light work of their opponents.

Brandon Andrews (2-13), Amelia Gardner (2-13) and Chris Green (2-1) all took two wickets apiece as Grantham were skittled out for 53 in just 25 overs.

Town needed just ten overs to knock off that tally, with Butcher blasting six fours en-route to his unbeaten 41. Fellow opener Harry Wilkinson-Roberts (6 not out) kept him company as Town home eased.
