Key duo sent off as Holbeach United are smashed 7-0 at Leicester Nirvana

Jamie Stevens and Josh Ford were both sent off as Holbeach United were handed a thumping 7-0 defeat by ChromaSport UCL Premier Division leaders Leicester Nirvana on Tuesday night.

Both players were given straight red cards in the first half as the Tigers suffered a seventh defeat on the spin and their heaviest loss of the campaign so far.

The Nirvana goals came from Matt Melbourne (20, 68 and 87), Shaquille Master (44 and 56), Reece Morris (51) and Jordan Nelson (65) at Gleneagles Avenue.

Holbeach drop to seventh place in the table as a result. They host Wisbech Town (Thursday, 7.45pm) and Kirby Muxloe (Saturday, 3pm) in their final two league games.

Meanwhile, goals from Ash Murrell and Liam Ogden fired Pinchbeck United to a 2-0 ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division win over Leverington Sports at Knight Street.

The victory keeps Ian Dunn’s side second in the standings with three games left to play.
