Maiden South Lincs and Border League Premier Division wins for Spalding Town and Long Sutton

Spalding Town and Long Sutton both enjoyed wins in The South Lincs and Border League Premier Division on Saturday.

Chasing Woodhall Spa 2nd’s 191-7 to win, scorers of 79 from skipper Rob Ambrose and 71 from Warren Nel steered Town to an eight-wicket win and 17 points.

Sutton had a tougher time of it against Sleaford 2nd at Paradise Field. They bowled their visitors out for 128, but just got over the line by one wicket.

In Division Two, Spalding 3rd cruised to a ten-wicket win over Grantham 4th after bowling their rivals out for 53.

Division One: Heckington conceded to Baston.
