The entertainer Mann comes to Pinchbeck’s Burtey Den Collection

John Mann will be playing the Compton and Wurlitzer theatre organs at the Burtey Fen Collection in Pinchbeck on Sunday, April 17 at 2.30pm.

John became well known locally during the 1970s when he played for summer seasons at the Embassy Centre, Skegness.
Since then, besides concerts nationwide and abroad, he has been entertaining holidaymakers in Eastbourne – this year marks his 35th consecutive season appearing at the Winter Gardens.

John has released 44 recordings and remains one of the last performing stars from the cinema and music hall era. He has shared the stage with some of this country’s greatest entertainers including Bob Monkhouse, Arthur Askey, Russ Conway and Max Bygraves. Over the years he has built up a legion of fans with more than 1,000 members currently part of the John Mann Appreciation Society.

Brighton-born John, will play a programme of popular music from years gone by, opening on the Burtey Fen Wurlitzer with ‘Sussex by the Sea’ – the patriotic song of his county that he adopted as his theme tune.

Tickets are £9 including refreshments. Call 01775 766081.
