Pinchbeck United got their ChromaSport Peterborough League Premier Division campaign up and running on Tuesday.
A 4-1 defeat of Crowland Town at Knight Street was their first win at the fourth time of asking.
Tyler Wright (2), Ryan Leggett and Corban Oldham got the goals for Pinchbeck, Patrick Dooner getting the visitors’ reply.
Pinchbeck manager Ian Dunn said: “We fully deserved it and probably should have scored more, but it’s pleasing to get three points on the board.”
Pinchbeck are up to 11th in the table, but it’s back-to-back defeats for Crowland Town, who had been unbeaten after the first two matches.
Meanwhile, there was something of a shock result for Long Sutton Athletic in Division One.
Derby rivals Sutton Bridge United could not have asked for a better time to clinch their first win of the season – and how.
Goals from Ben Partridge (2), Matthew Eaton and Keiren Lally saw them to a 4-0 win at London Road.
It was Long Sutton’s first defeat of the season after a rousing start.
