South Holland residents can win £200 worth of vouchers in a new get active promotion.
SHout and About launches on Monday, August 17 and runs for 12 weeks. Competitors collect points for completing weekly fun activities including arts, crafts, walking, exercise classes, cooking, gardening, dancing and much more.
Run by South Holland District Council’s Community Development team, the competition is open to everyone in the district and people can enter as individuals, families or in small groups (maximum number is seven).
The team/family/individual with the most points in each of five areas will win a grand prize of £200 worth of vouchers.
Coun Gary Taylor, portfolio holder for community, said: “SHout and About promises to be 12 weeks of fun for everyone who signs up.
“But it will also offer a great chance for competitors to improve their health and wellbeing, learn new skills and meet new people within their communities.”
A special launch event is being held at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field in Spalding on Saturday, August 15 from 10.30am until 3.30pm. It will feature demonstrations from clubs, previews of some activities and a chance to meet with organisers.
