Returning Ollie pinning league title ambitions on Tigers

Midfielder Ollie Pinner is on his way back to Holbeach United.

The 30-year-old has agreed to re-sign at Carter’s Park, having left late last season to finish the campaign with his long-time former club Boston Town.

Pinner’s departure was just before current boss Darren Jarvis and assistant manager Tom Roberts arrived – and Jarvis is delighted that he’s agreed to return.

“Ollie Pinner is a player that I have always wanted to work with,” he said. “For every Gary King and Andrew Tidswell, you need an Ollie Pinner in your side to bring a bit of balance.

“I love his heart and commitment and it’s a shame we just missed each other last season. In my opinion, he probably could and should have been used a bit more, but he’s really pleased to be back and I’m really pleased he’s agreed to come back.

“He’s got a desire to want to win the league and feels we will be in the top three or four. I’m sure Boston Town will do well and be competitive, but Ollie Pinner wants to be right up there.”

The midfielder, who was with The Poachers for ten years before his first stint at Holbeach, was a member of the Pinchbeck United Sunday side which Roberts managed to four trophies last season, including the Lincs FA Sunday Cup.
