High praise for 12-year-old boy’s random act of kindness

A random act of kindness by a young schoolboy has received high public praise.

Kizzie Bateman had to disappoint son Jack Bussey (4) when she didn’t have enough money to pay for a lolly.
Liam Crane (12), who was just behind them in the checkout queue in the Lincolnshire Co-op in Whaplode, overheard the conversation and promptly handed Jack’s mum the money.

Kizzie (25), who lives in the village, thought it was a lovely thing to do and thanked Liam privately and publicly.
She said: “I was really taken aback and I thought it was really, really sweet.”

More than 700 fans of Facebook page Spotted: Spalding agreed by ‘liking’ her post about the incident.

Liam’s proud mum Heather, of Miller’s Rest, Whaplode, said: “I only want him to turn into a lovely boy and this act proves that he is.”
