Free training in Spalding on responsibilities for community and charity group workers

Free training is being offered in Spalding on Thursday (June 11) to help those at the heart of community groups and charities know their responsibilities and how to meet them.

The free full-day course provides clear explanations of the roles and responsibilities of trustees, company directors and company secretaries.
The course at the South Holland Centre (9.45am-4pm) may also be interesting to governors of academies.
Topics covered include the types of legal structures for charitable companies, what is expected of charity trustees and company directors and practical ideas on how to develop an effective board of directors.

The course is suitable to those new to these roles or anyone wishing to refresh their knowledge.
The course is endorsed by the Faculty of Secretaries and certificates of achievement will be awarded to those who pass the optional end of course exam.
