Famous five stay perfect after blowing away rivals at Surfleet

Despite gale-force winds and sideways rain, the awesome action continued on the second night of the new Spalding and South Holland Voice six-a-side League season.

Tekkers and in-form Notinmymums Forest both maintained their perfect starts in Division One, while in the second tier, Sarah’s Boys, BK’s Athletic and Goaldiggers all made it two from as many games.

Monday night’s Division One action at Surfleet got under way with champions Polishborough bouncing back from their opening day defeat with a 7-1 success over Univeg Team.

The reintroduction of striker Krzysiek Goldyn certainly aided the Poles, but man-of-the-match (MOTM) Dawid Iwaniec really took the plaudits.

Mirror Signal Malouda then suffered their second straight defeat, plummeting to rock-bottom in the process. This time Forest were the grateful recipients – and they move up to second.
Ryan Howard was MOTM in this one.

Game three saw East Europa and You’ve Got No Fans share a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Neither side were able to exert total dominance in a game that provided a great advert for the league. Edas Stremas secured MOTM here.

Elsewhere, Tekkers finished their game with five men after the sending off of skipper Josh Faulkner – but still completed a 4-2 win over newbies The Squad.

Faulkner has been fined will now be banned for one week for his violent conduct. Billy King was MOTM in this game.

The last two games in the top tier were both 1-1 draws.

The first being a point for Simple FC, as they drew against fellow relegation candidates Old Boy Coaches.

Daniel Mason was man of the match after impressing referee Andy Rudd.

Evolution and Pro Ballers played out the second 1-1 draw at 9pm. Both sides played with a physical and winner-takes-all style of play in the blustery conditions. MOTM went to Declan Earth.

Division Two got under way with Mail Carters and Tekkerslovakia battling out a 0-0 draw.

Brandon Wilson secured MOTM, although that was shared with Joe Lewsey, who broke his ankle in the corresponding fixture last week.

The second game saw Bowlcut Wanderers FC manage to grab their first win since joining the league after thumping Dynamo Kiev 3-0.

Kiev have lost vital players in key positions, and the lack of harmony showed as they collapsed against the rampant Bowlcut with Daniel Bellamy MOTM.

The TBME then turned over last week’s defeat with a 2-0 victory over Balotellitubbies. The lads in yellow were confident, positive and above-all the better side as they cantered to the win, with Alex Dormor MOTM.

Meanwhile, BK’s Athletic made it two wins from two with a 2-1 victory over Nibblesborough. Luke Russon put on a MOTM show as BK’s joined a trio of teams with perfect records.

Sarah’s Boys then gave new team FC Barnicols a baptism of fire, showing them why they are promotion contenders with their second straight win.
Ben Martin did enough to grab the MOTM prize.

The final game of the night saw Goaldiggers complete the hat-trick of teams who can boast 100 per cent starts in Division Two. This time they demolished recently-relegated Posh Old Boys 4-0, with Ryan Mills the MOTM and scoring an absolute scorcher in the first period.
