A new housing company has been created by South Holland District Council – and readers of The Voice can win by suggesting its name.
The prize is four tickets to see a film of your choice at the South Holland Centre in Spalding.
The council launched the company to increase the supply of new homes in the district and meet the demands and needs of a growing population.
The £15.2million project, funded by loans and council’s reserves, will boost growth in the local economy and help create new jobs.
The first phase of the scheme will see 142 much-needed new homes built over the next two years.
Councillors are keen to engage people as the new company takes off and hope running a competition in local newspapers to name it will do so.
It is hoped that schools and colleges will encourage students to enter.
The winning name must be original, as it will be officially registered.
The winning entry will be chosen by a council judging panel, including portfolio holder for housing Coun Christine Lawton.
She said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new era for housing across the district.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the suggested names and helping to choose a winner.”
