The man behind a campaign to persuade cyclists to wear more reflective clothing says it is having an effect.
Mark Le Sage, who has set up Don’t Be Dim- Be A Brighter and Safer Cyclist, says Halfords has reported in an increase in the sale of light and hi-viz tops.
“On Monday night (November 2) when I went out between 7pm and 8.30pm I only saw six people without any lights or reflective clothing,” he said. “But there is still lots of work to be done which is why we are making this an annual campaign.
“We are so proud to be working alongside South Holland District Council’s Youth Council who have done some brilliant research and produced reflective stickers to give to their fellow students.
“We are also very grateful to Lincolnshire Police and PEDALS and their support of the campaign.”
