Old time music hall in Whaplode Drove raises almost £2,400 for Macmillan Nurses and Papworth Hospital

A music hall show in memory of a well-known village performer was a sell-out over two nights.

The shows were performed by Whaplode Drove Players, a group of people brought together by Hadyn Dilley, Jess Ford and Trevor Taylor, in honour of Henry Fowler, who performed in many shows and pantomimes over the past 30 years.
The two shows raised just under £2,400 to be shared between Macmillan Nurses and Papworth Hospital, both charities chosen by Mr Fowler’s widow Gerty.

Mr Dilley said: “I extend my heartfelt thanks to all involved and thank everyone who supported us and helped us achieve such a wonderful total.”
