Nods of appreciation for Wink

A Moulton family has raised thousands more for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
Winkfest was started by Dave Grimwood, known as Wink, and his late mum Violet, around 15 years ago.
Its latest incarnation took place at The Swan in Moulton on what would have been Violet’s 99th birthday on August 1 with sets from Squadron and singer Chris Martin.
Wink, who got his nickname for wearing winklepickers to school, said the £3,600 raised included events held at The Swan over the last year, including regular quiz nights.
“We are all very proud to support the air ambulance and would like to convey our thanks to all the sponsors and supporters of our event,” said Wink.
