Circle spot on with charity tea

Over 60 people attended a fundraiser in memory of a friend.

The Friendship Circle of South Holland put on the event in memory of former member Rosemary Gaunt who died last year.

The event, an afternoon tea, was organised once again by the group’s Judy Dolton with many local members donating cakes and other treats and volunteering on the day.

Judy also organised a raffle and invited The chair of the South Holland Council Jan Whitbourn as guest of honour.

Myton Food Group also supported the event with donations of tea, coffee and a large afternoon themed hamper as a raffle prize.

A lot of tea and cake was consumed by all who attended and they raised an amazing £1,277.

Judy said: “I’d like to thank everyone that donated and gave their time to make this such a successful day.

“Thanks also to Myton Food Group Spalding for their support again this year.”

The Community Champion from Myton Food Group Spalding, Tina Ellis, said: “Myton is committed to supporting the local community and were happy to have been part of this event.”
