Long Sutton are back on top of Lincolnshire Division One South after beating Burghley Park 2nd XI on Saturday.
They elected to bat on winning the toss and posted 264/8.
Opener Calvin Bird scored an almost a run a ball 49 to help his side to a decent start.
There was some quick scoring throughout, particularly with Daniel Plant smashing 61 off 49 balls and Joshua
Baker making a run a ball 47 in a partnership of 92 between the pair.
Alex Ashwin (21) and Ewan Williams (34) put on 51 for the first wicket before they were ousted in quick succession lbw to Rob Simpson (1-36) and bowled by Joshua Baker (1-55) respectively.
Another 50 partnership for the second wicket between Olly Billington and Daniel Pellett (28) with Tim Norris (1-31) having the latter caught, and from there Sutton kept plucking away and claimed wickets regularly.
Norris and Bird both effected run outs while Jake Burton (pictured) took 3-53.
While Burghley’s number three Billington hit 90 not out, he ran out of partners with Burghley 24 runs short of the Sutton total with 14 balls remaining.
In Division Two South, Sutton’s 2nd XI remain winless after they were thumped at home by Royal Boston in a game that lasted less than 32 overs.
Most of those were after the hosts elected to bat but were bowled out for 104.
Joe Whitaker top scored with 63 as Boston’s Akhil Nair claimed 6-39.
The visitors then knocked those runs off in just 49 balls, Aneesh Sasidharan hitting 55 not out.
There were celebrations on Sunday as Long Sutton Mallards beat Terrington St Clement to reach the final of the Broke Cup.
Despite losing Aron John (4) early after winning the toss and electing to bat, Calvin Bird and Daniel Oldfield pushed the score on to 70 before Bird departed for 37.
While Oldfield batted on making a fine 64, a flurry of wickets fell at the other end as Sutton lost 4/15 leaving them 85/5.
Skipper Alastair Drohan’s 38 pushed his side on to post 183/9 from their 40 overs.
Sutton then produced a fine bowling display to reduce the Terrington reply to 70/6 and then 96/7.
Daniel Plant (2-21) and Oldfield (2-32) led from the front while Simpson put in an impressive display of controlled bowling as he claimed 11-3 from eight overs.
Terrington’s number eight Daniel Bullock hit a fine 66 to give them hope, but Sutton held their nerve to claim an 18 run win with the opposition nine down after 40 overs.
