The grounds of Spalding’s Johnson Community Hospital came alive with laughter, music and community spirit on
Saturday as the Friends of Johnson Community Hospital hosted their annual summer fayre.
Every year the Friends of Johnson Hospital put on the event at the Pinchbeck Road venue.
The group raises funds for the hospital so it can purchase items not provided by the NHS.
A total of £851.39 was raised at this year’s event.
Entertainment came from the Spalding Community Choir while the Friends were boosted by both Pinchgate and Tollgate WIs, The Spalding Lions, Inner Wheel, Blossoms Bees and Jackalope Joe Coffee.
Christine Grocock, secretary of the Friends of Johnson Community Hospital, said: “We are so lucky having our community hospital here in Spalding and it’s a pleasure to buy equipment for the hard-working nursing staff and for the comfort of the patients.
“But, of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our local community.”
