Ace jazz drummer John Petters and his Hot Three are among the line-up at a special garden party in Holbeach this weekend.
Marie’s Music Makers and The Holy Trinity Singers are also playing the Afternoon Garden Party in the grounds of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on Saturday (June 20).
Clarinet and saxophonist Matt Palmer plus pianist Art Topper will join Petters, who has released over 40 albums and been described as ‘England’s finest traditional jazz drummer’ by The Missippi Rag.
Marie’s Music Makers is the brainchild of Marie Ann Sykes, a piano teacher who previously was in an all-girl band in the 60s.
The friendly group holds practices on Monday mornings in Spalding and the ensemble will perform a lively mix of contemporary music from the 60s to the present day.
The Holy Trinity Singers will be providing a nautical flavour with a selection of Sea Shanties.
In between it all is the DJ duo of Artur and Mario.
A spokesman said: “They’ll be kicking things off with an uplifting welcome to get the energy flowing, and returning to close out our day of fellowship with a celebratory finale.
“Expect a soundtrack that perfectly captures the spirit of our community.
“Make sure you don’t miss the most exciting musical event of the Fens.”
Cream teas will be served, guests are welcome to bring alcoholic refreshment as well as picnic tables and chairs.
Tickets are £5 per person and must be booked in advance to enable catering.
