More firsts for speedy Pulling

Abbi Pulling continues to blaze a trail in her motorsport career.

The Gosberton race ace has become the first woman in GB3 history to win a race, immediately after becoming the first to claim a pole position.

The historic moment came in Belgium at the weekend where a win and fifth place finish in the second race saw the 2024 F1 Academy champion leap up to sixth place in the overall standings.

After the first race was abandoned due to heavy rain, Pulling was undaunted and sped her way to a lights-to-flag victory at Spa-Francorchamps.

After collecting only nine points from the first three rounds of the season at Silverstone, Pulling collected 54 from two races, ahead of the next round at the Hungaroring on July 4 and 5.

This is Pulling’s second year in the GB3 Championship. Unlike in 2025, when her F1 Academy win funded much of her racing budget, the Rodin Motorsports driver has had to secure much of her racing budget independently.

This has led her to find several ways to generate income, including social media work, punditry on motorsport radio and broadcast, and securing sponsorship.

Her front wing at each race features the names of fans and supporters who have paid to be featured on the livery.

She also designs and manufactures her own merchandise line, with all profits funding her racing.

It is proving to be a busy life, because Pulling is also a development driver for the Nissan Formula E Team and works on simulator testing during race weekends with the reigning World Drivers’ Champions.
