Spalding Rugby Club hosted two T1 touch rugby events for school Years Eight, 12 and 13 with pupils and students from a dozen schools and colleges involved, including Spalding High, Spalding Academy, Boston Grammar and High, Bourne Grammar, St George’s Sleaford, Stamford College and Willoughby School.

Sports leaders from Spalding High assisted in refereeing at the events, which were organised by Rupert Gibson the RFU school rugby manager for south Lincolnshire.

T1 touch rugby sessions continue at Spalding Rugby Club every Tuesday, 6.30-8pm. Qualified club coaches are leading the sessions, which are for all ages from Year Four upwards.

Club mini rugby fun fitness sessions have also started, with Years Four to Seven on Wednesdays and Years 8-10 on Thursdays, both starting at 6pm.
