Divisional leaders maintain their perfect records

Consti A maintained their 100 per cent record at the top of the Spalding League.

However, they did not have it all their own way against Ye Olde Abbey. Consti found themselves 3-1 up but wins for Scott Lawrence and Pete Boardman made it a closer game. Captain Kieran Bowman went up and won the all important points, followed by a win for Nick Moyses to make it a 6-3 win. The layer of the night was Jason Vines who hit a 180 in a 16-dart leg.

Chasing the Consti are Rose & Crown C, who beat Royal Mail Cart 5-4. Duncan Hunt went on second from last and hit a 180 and a 15-dart leg to secure the points. Monty Bunn hit a 180 and had a 110 checkout but lost out to Jacob Herd who had a 116 checkout. Logan Goddard had an 18-dart leg in his victory but Ant Richardson went one step further and had two 18-dart legs in his win over Stu Page.

Drayman’s Arms A had a comfortable 7-2 win against Green Dragon A. Steve Urch hit his fifth 180 of the season. Dragon did have a 102 checkout for Adam Rear, in his loss to Richard Cooper.

Rose & Crown A beat Consti D 7-2 with a 180 for captain Ady Smith.

Win of the night went to Lincoln Arms A, who beat Drayman’s B 9-0, dropping only three legs. Steve Stancer had a 113 checkout and captain Luke Rhodes a 17-dart leg.

In Division Two, Pinchbeck FC A also maintain their perfect start by beating Riverside A 7-2. Tracey Baldwin was the sole singles winner for Riverside.

Five Bells had a 6-3 win against Holbeach Services B, with Tom Burton hitting a 180.

A shock result was a 6-3 win for Lincoln Arms B against Holbeach Services A. Lincoln went 2-1 up in the pairs but wins for Chris Chamberlain and Chris Blakey put Holbeach ahead. The Lincoln won the next four games, thanks to Lesley Chamberlain, Andy Palmer, Nigel Goodwin and John Charlton. John Charlton’s last-game win was thanks to a 17-dart leg but Stu Stephens hit a maximum in his loss to him.

Mulberrys had a solid 6-3 win against Pinchbeck FC B and Riverside B had a close 5-4 win against Consti E, with the last-game decider going all three legs with Josh Andrew beating Paul Merrill. James Hodgetts had a 17-dart leg in beating Craig Woods.

Another team with a 100 per centrecord are Green Dragon A, who beat Drayman’s D (Pied Calf A) 5-4. Drayman’s were 4-2 up but wins for Toby Lyons, Harry Tucker and Simon Horton sealed victory. Chris Newman had a 174 score in his pairs win with Athena Overton.

Moulton Harrox won 6-3 against Punchbowl and highlight of the night was a 109 checkout for Mark Jones.

Tigers A clinched a 5-4 win against Drayman’s C but the winning game for Tigers by Martin Wells came with two games to play.

Riverside C romped to a 8-1 win against Services (Pied Calf B), with Daniel Patey hitting a 180 in pairs win with Jordan Smith. Wayne Forster was Services’ sole winner.
