Pairs line-up is decided for finals night

Finals night for the Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck & District Winter League is drawing ever closer and last week saw the qualifying rounds for both Division A and Division B pairs competitions played.

A series of competitive matches produced the four pairings who will contest each set of semi-finals.

In Division A they are Steve Stancer and Si Hill, of Lincoln Arms A, who battled through their section and defeated Ady Smith and Steve Rawding in the final.

Joining them will be Josh Ford and Stu Page, of Royal Mail Cart, who overcame Andy Mason and Colin Beckett in their qualifying final.

A second Royal Mail Cart pairing also progressed, with Jack Chilvers and Chris Fidler securing their place after beating Mark Graham and Karl Louth in their group.

Completing the Division A quartet are Jacob Herd and Harry Faulkner, of Consti Club C, who defeated Rick Clay and Pete Grooby in the final of their section.

The Division B semi-finals will feature Dave Banister and Steve Doades, of Lincoln Arms C, who came through from their venue alongside Josh Burton and Emma Tickner, of Pinchbeck FC C.

The second qualifying venue produced the remaining two pairings: John Harris and Calum Ward, of Consti Club Z, and Harry Tucker and Callum Day, of Green Dragon Z.
