Shock derby win for Rose and Crown C

Rose and Crown A shocked their C team, beating them 5-4 in the Spalding Darts League this week.

The C team were sitting pretty at 4-2 up and only needing one win out of the last three games but Gary Mace, Dan Carnell and Ian Lawson all won to take the victory.

Duncan Hunt hit a maximum 180 but lost out to Mace, Logan Goddard had a 111 checkout and an 18-dart leg in his victory over Hank Watson and young Finlay Clayton keep his fine form going hitting a 15-dart leg in his win against Ant Richardson.

Consti A won 8-1 against Drayman’s Arms A to maintain their 100 per cent record and stretch their lead at the top.

Chris Fidler hit his fourth 180 of the season and Steve Urch hit two maximums.

There were some good legs of dart with Sam Roberts hitting an 18-dart leg, Andy Bingham having a 17-dart leg and Jason Vines having a 16-dart leg.

Royal Mail Cart won a close encounter against Ye Olde Abbey. Josh Ford held his nerve and went on last to beat Dean Parker to take the spoils. Dave Norbury, Scott Lawrence and Harry Faulkner all hit maximums.

Another close game was won by Lincoln Arms A 5-4 against Green Dragon A.

The Dragon went 3-1 up but wins for Steve Stancer, Simon Hill, Harry Walsh and Tony Spinks took the points for the Lincoln.

Jake Waller and Spinks had maximum 180s but most on form on the night was Mick Holstead who hit a max in a nice 14-dart leg.

Elsewhere Consti D beat Drayman’s B 6-3.

There were a few cancellations in Division 2 but one team who jumped at the chance of stretching their good run was Pinchbeck FC A, who beat title rivals Holbeach Services A 6-3.

Will Cliff and Connor McKenzie teamed up and had a good 16-dart leg and Pinchbeck won five of the six singles games, with Chris Chamberlain being the sole winner for Holbeach.

The other game in Division 2 was a 6-3 win for Five Bells against Lincoln Arms B.

Green Dragon B joined Pinchbeck A and Consti A with their 100 per cent record for the season, they beat Drayman’s C 5-4.

Dragon needed to win the last three games to take the points and managed to do this thanks to wins from Shayne Hubbard, Jamie Robson and Simon Horton.

Punchbowl keep up their good first season with a 6-3 win against Drayman’s D.

Keane Slayven had a max 180 but lost his game against Richard Barker.

Tigers A won 5-4 in the Tigers derby, Bradley Martin managed a 113 checkout in the all-important game in which he won against Kenzie Lee.

Elsewhere Moulton Harrox got back to winning ways with a 8-1 win against Spalding Services. Wayne Forster was the sole winner for Services.
