Rose and Crown dominate Division 1

Rose and Crown C dominate to remain top of Division 1 in the Spalding Darts League with a 9-0 win over Consti D.

Consolation of the night was Consti D captain Ady Smith hit a maximum 180.

Consti A remain tight on their heels with three wins out of three thanks to a 7-2 win over Green Dragon A. Chris Fidler has a good night with seven scores of 100 or more in his match, Jason Vines had a nice 16-dart leg and Andy Bingham hit a maximum in his game.

Green Dragon are finding a difference between the top division after lifting the division 2 title last season.

Another promoted team having a tough time is Drayman’s Arms B who lost 7-2 to Royal Mail Cart.

Rose and Crown A had a nice 6-3 win against Drayman’s Arms B. Dan Carnell had a 17-dart leg in his win over Dave Henderson.

Drayman’s may have lost but Phil Newton had a 102 checkout beating Adam Godfrey and Kev Newton and Richard Cooper both hit maximums.

Lincoln Arms A are settling into Division 1 nicely with a 6-3 win over Ye Olde Abbey. Player of the night was Tony Spinks who hit a 153 checkout in an 18-dart leg in his win over Pete Boardman. Steve Stancer had a nice 18-dart leg beating Dean Parker but best leg of the night was a 15-dart leg for Dave Norbury.

In Division 2, last season’s Division 3 champions are enjoying life with three wins out of three, the latest a 7-2 derby win over their B team. Andy Mason hit a maximum 180 but lost out to Jordan Philpott.

Holbeach Services A are another team with a 100 per cent start and they beat Mulberrys 6-3. Stu Stephens hit a 108 checkout in a win over Mark Thompson in which Stephens hit five scores of 100 or more.

Consti E romped home to be 8-1 winners away at Five Bells. Tom Semper got the sole victory for the Five Bells and Brad Whitmore hit a 180 in his loss in the pairs. Player of the night was Consti’s Mark Dixon who had a maximum 180 in a nice 17-dart leg in his win over Zach Chapman.

Elsewhere Lincoln Arms B got their first win of the season in a 7-2 win over Holbeach Services B.
In the all-Riverside derby, the new B team got the victory thanks to Darren Norton going on last and beating Kieran Twitchen. The B team’s Chris Taylor checked out on 100 to beat Charlotte Gollick.

In Division 3 Moulton Harrox are in fine form and beat Pied Calf A 7-2 thanks to a 180 from Mark Jones.

The in form Green Dragon B, who have won three of three, beat Pied Calf B 8-1.

Drayman’s C are finding life in Division 3 easier than last season in Division 2 and had a great 8-1 win over the new Riverside C team. Highlight of the night was Steina McKenna hitting a 171 in her doubles game.

Pinchbeck C, another new team, won away at Tigers A 6-3 with two games to go.

Another battle of new teams was between Punchbowl and Tigers B. This time Punchbowl won 7-2 with help that they won all six singles. Derrie Maxwell had a 117 checkout in his victory over Nick Quantril and captain Ed Barnes hit a maximum 180 in his pairs victory with Maxwell.
