Fire fighters have been battling a blaze at a Long Sutton home which started in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, March 4).
Three fire crews were called to the blaze at a property on Anfield Road shortly after 2am.
In a statement shortly after 6.35am this morning a Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “We still have two pumps and an Alp in attendance.
“We are advising residents keep doors and windows shut while we deal with this.”
The Voice understands two men were at the home a man in his 80s and his carer, but both escaped unhurt.
Neighbour Chris Cooper noticed what was happening and knocked on others doors to alert them.
”I heard them say there was a fire and saw a little one in the hall, but then it just went up quickly,” he said. “I was just banging on the doors and ringing the doorbells as everyone was asleep.
”Thankfully everyone was ok.”
