New season looking strong

Next season sees 30 teams across three divisions in the Spalding Darts League.

With eight new teams there will be a reshuffle which begs the question who is favourite to win each league?

In Division 1 reigning champions Consti A and runners up Rose and Crown C are, on paper, weaker teams next season with players not playing for various reasons, a new Lincoln Arms team will be strong, while Rose and Crown A are getting stronger with additional players.

This season could see the most open Division 1 there has been for many years.

In Division 2, Division 3 winners Pinchbeck FC will fancy throwing their name in after an unbeaten first season, Consti E remain strong and after being relegated from Division 1 due to too many 5-4 losses, will fancy their chances of getting promoted straight back into the top flight.

A new Riverside B team are also much talked about and they go straight into Division 2.

Division 3 could be very close and with six new teams, the majority are unknown, so it’s anyone’s guess who goes on to win.

All three divisions look to be competitive. If new teams enter the following season then the league could see four divisions for the first time in over 25 years.
