Consti A have 100 per cent record

Consti A maintain their 100 per cent record in Division 1 of the Spalding Darts League but they didn’t have it all their own way against Ye Olde Abbey.

Consti won 5-4 but Abbey started off the better team going into a 2-1 lead after the pairs games before Jack Chilvers levelled the score 2-2.

Dave Norbury stepped up for Abbey and beat Jason Vines thanks to a 16-dart leg.

Sam Roberts for the Consti then levelled the game before Morgan Parker won to make the score 4-3.

Abbey needed to win one of the last two games and JJ Bird started off well against Andy Bingham and missed darts to win the game and the match but then Bingham kicked in and had a fine 146 check out under pressure and had a maximum 180 in the last leg.

Bingham kept his nerve and won the last leg to set up a game between Dean Parker and Nick Moyses to see who wins the game.

Moyses won 2-0 but Dean scored very heavily and played well throughout.

The only other game in Division 1 was another close game and a 5-4 win for Draymans A against Consti E.
Richard Cooper went on last to beat Paul Merrill to take the points for the Drayman’s.

Josh Grainger had a max 180 and teamed up with Kev Newton to have a 17-dart leg in the pairs.
Drayman’s captain Kev Newton also had a 113 check out in his win over Mark Dixon.

In Division 2 Drayman’s B maintain top place with a nice 6-3 win over Consti D. Ady Smith and John Robinson were the only singles winners for the Consti.

Player of the night was Drayman’s Stu Ewins who had a mighty 160 check out and also he teamed up with Matt Broderick and they had a 15-dart leg in the pairs.

Chris Howling, for the Drayman’s, had an 18-dart leg in his win over Steve Emery.

Green Dragon A stay in second after a 7-2 win against The Ship Long Sutton. Jake Hinta-Penta was the sole singles winner for the Ship.

Riverside beat Rose and Crown B 5-4 but after winning all three pairs games and two of the first three singles games the night was wrapped up early.

Jonny Pell scored well through the night hitting seven scores of 100 or more in his game.

In another close game Holbeach Services beat Drayman’s C 5-4.

Holbeach went 2-1 up after pairs only for Connor McKenna to level up for the Drayman’s.

Chris Chamberlain stretched the lead for Holbeach but wins for Kieran Worth and Connor Newton put the Drayman’s in the driving seat only needing to win one of the last two games.

However, Holbeach had other thoughts and wins for Mike Ocock and Stu Stephens sealed the points for Holbeach.

In Division 3 the question is can Pinchbeck FC do anything wrong?

They beat Lincoln Arms 6-3 to remain top and are also on a high after reaching the cup final in their first season.

Pinchbeck were comfortable winners and, on the night, the young guns shone.

Connor Mckenzie had a 124 checkout and he teamed up with Harvey Elderkin to have an 18-dart leg in the pairs.

In a closer game Green Dragon B beat Mulberrys 5-4. Green Dragon won all three pairs and then wins for Dan Martin and Harry Tucker sealed the points for Dragon.

Holbeach Services beat Moulton Harrox 6-3 with highlight of the night being a 100 checkout for Holbeach’s Ryan Munton.

Final game in Division 3 was a thumping 9-0 win for Drayman’s D against Pied Calf.

Pied only won three legs all night and these were thanks to Shelia Bright, John Gogg and Richard Barker.
